Rwanda’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Jeannette Kagame, has been awarded the African Achievers Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award 2013 for her philanthropic work through the Imbuto Foundation.

Last year this young man initiated a campaign on social media, calling upon the public to assist our brothers and sisters in the Horn of Africa.

She visited one of the largest hospitals in Kigali and could not believe the sight before her. Patients who could not pay their bills for weeks on end or afford food while they were admitted in hospital.

Filled with dynamism and courage, this young lady applied her Computer Engineering skills to address the information access challenges in Rwanda.

For this young woman, the sky literally was the limit. With lots of energy, and a strong work ethic she always dreamt of enteringintothe aviation profession. She continued to work hard until her dream finally came true.

She saw the unlimited opportunities Rwanda offered to its youth and decided to move home from the Diaspora.

This artist uses her poetic talent to captivate and inspire audiences. Both young and older people are able to grasp deep issues our time from Violette’s entertaining and expressive style. 

Samson NDINDIRIYIMANA was born in 1988 in MUSANZE District, in the Northern Province. He started primary school in 1993. Samson was a brilliant pupil, but unfortunately, in February 1994, he contracted meningitis, against which he was not immunized.

Inkubito z’Icyeza Forum for Excellence clubs have been piloted in 10 secondary schools across Rwanda. These clubs consist of university students, previously rewarded best-performing girls, who mentor younger best-performing girls.
